Admin Quick Start: Managing Your Users in the Roghnu Data Portal

Updated:

Before you start

User management lives in the Roghnu Data Portal.

  • To manage users, you must be signed in as a Company Admin.

  • Sign in at https://apps.roghnu.com — go directly to the app. If you used to visit the Okta dashboard, you don't need it anymore.

  • As a Company Admin, you add, edit, and disable your own users from the Users area.

Opening the Users Page

  1. Sign in at https://apps.roghnu.com.

  2. In the left menu, under Control Center, click Users.

You'll see your users in a table with these columns:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Role

  • Status — Active or Disabled

  • VPN — whether VPN access is enabled

  • DB Access — whether database (Data Warehouse) access is enabled

Use the Search box and the All status / All roles filters to find users quickly.

Add a user (send an invite)

  1. Click Add User.

  2. Enter the user's First name, Last name, and Email.

  1. Under Portal access, choose a Role.

  2. (Optional) Check Include VPN access if this user needs VPN.

  3. (Optional) Turn on Provision database user to grant database access, then select the schemas and SQL permissions they should have.

  4. (Optional) Select any Reports roles that apply.

  5. Click Send invite.

The user receives an invitation email to finish setting up their account. Invitation links expire after 7 days.

Edit a user

  1. Find the user in the list.

  2. Click the pencil (edit) icon in the Actions column.

  3. Update their Portal role, VPN access, or database access/permissions.

  4. Click Save changes.

The Identity fields (First name, Last name, Email) cannot be modified — you manage roles and access, not the person's core identity.

When Provision database user is on, you can grant per-schema SQL permissions (for example SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE).

Disable a user

Disabling blocks a user from signing in and using VPN and database access.

  1. In the Actions column for that user, click Disable.

  2. Confirm.

The user's Status changes to Disabled. To restore access later, edit or re-enable the user; their previous VPN/database settings are retained.

Your account: Data Warehouse connection & password

Every user (including admins) can view their database connection details and reset their Data Warehouse password from User Settings.

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner, then choose User Settings.

02-user-menu

  1. User Settings shows your Account Information and access status. Click Manage Data Warehouse Connection.

  1. You'll be asked to confirm your identity with Okta (choose your security method — email, Okta Verify, etc. — the same as portal login).

  2. After verifying, you'll see your connection details: Server URL, Data Warehouse Name, and Username.

  1. To change your password, enter and confirm a New Password that meets the requirements, then click Save Password.

The Data Warehouse password is separate from your portal/Okta sign-in password.

     6. After you set save your password, you will be prompted with a reminder to save your password in a secure location like your password manager.
