How to Connect to the VPN Using FortiClient
This guide walks you through connecting to the Roghnu VPN using FortiClient, ensuring a secure and seamless connection to your work environment.
Step 1: Download the FortiClient VPN
- If you haven't already installed FortiClient, download the VPN-only version from Fortinet’s product download page.
Note: Administrator rights are required to install the FortiClient VPN application on your laptop. - For installation instructions, refer to the Roghnu Setup Guide for VPN.
Step 2: Open the FortiClient VPN Application
- Use your Windows search bar to find and open the FortiClient VPN app.
- Your VPN Name and Username should automatically populate from your previous setup, with your username being your business email address.
- Enter your OKTA password. This is the same username and password used for OKTA.
Step 3: Select Your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Method
- In the "Answer" box, enter your choice of MFA method:
- Enter 1 for Email.
- Enter 2 for SMS.
- Note: Entering 0 will abort and terminate your VPN login session.
Step 4: Enter the MFA Code
- Enter the MFA code you received via your selected method (Email or SMS).
Step 5: Verify Your VPN Connection
- Once connected, verify your VPN connection by checking for an active "Duration," "Bytes Received," and "Bytes Sent" status, along with a "Disconnect" button.
- These indicators confirm a successful connection to the VPN.
